19/12/2023: In this linked letter, the Review Board reiterates its stance regarding my complaint against the Development & Planning Authority (DPA). The Board confirms that my recent correspondence does not alter their previous decision. They emphasize that the matter remains closed and will not be referred to the States, marking the conclusion of their involvement under the relevant law. Consequently, the Review Board has decided to cease any further correspondence.
They have therefore accepted a review that did not follow their terms of reference or the fundamental facts of the case and they have declined to explain why.
Accordingly, I am making this case public for the greater good in the hope that the States will consider instituting a Public Services Ombudsperson to replace Guernsey’s Review Board system. If my case is the only one in 5 years, then it constitutes 100% of the cases.
